About Car History Check

What we check

• Write-off / total loss history — insurance write-off category, when recorded.
• Stolen marker — whether the vehicle is currently marked as stolen on the databases we check.
• Outstanding finance — whether there's a finance agreement registered against the vehicle.
• Mileage history — recorded mileage readings over time, to help spot a mismatch.
• MOT history — test results and advisories from DVSA records.

What we don't do

We don't inspect the vehicle in person, and we don't claim a clean report means a car is problem-free — it means nothing came up in the records we checked, on the day we checked them. We are an independent service and not affiliated with the DVLA, the DVSA, or any vehicle manufacturer.
